The Detroit Lakes Orthopedics Clinic has an opening for a full time RN! Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with no nights, weekends or holidays. Great work/home life balance!

Job DescriptionGuides the patient to the appropriate level of care; schedules patient appointments over the phone with appropriate healthcare providers/facilities/physicians. Documents information provided to patients during triage in health record systems; records patients health conditions for follow-up patient care.
Maintains and develops triage protocols; ensures patients healthcare information is updated on time. Role does answer inquiries through multiple variations of technology, depending on department. Educate patients based on calls that come in.
Responsibilities- Answer patient inquiries over the telephone and assess symptom severity and medical needs according to triage algorithms.
- Guide patients to appropriate level of care and schedule appointments with healthcare providers/facilities/physicians.
- Document triage information in health record systems and record patients health conditions for follow-up care.
- Maintain and develop triage protocols; ensure timely updates of patients healthcare information.
- Educate patients based on calls and provide pre-op instructions as applicable.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, AACN, ACEN, NLN CNEA. Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
- One year of healthcare experience preferred.
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs and/or multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state. Nurses practicing over the telephone require licensure in the states where patients reside.
- Within first 30 days of employment, all requirements to obtain license needed for role are completed.
- Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
