Position Summary

The Roof Crew Member supports the construction of roof assemblies within a controlled manufacturing environment. This role assists with framing, assembling, and installing roof components according to specifications, while maintaining quality standards, safety compliance, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Frame roofs on assembly tables from sheetrock through roof sheathing
  • Build dormers and assemble prebuilt roof components
  • Construct and attach completed roof systems to wall assemblies
  • Inspect materials and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements
  • Install insulation systems and vapor barriers as required
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE such as fall protection
  • Participate in cross‑training opportunities across departments to support workforce flexibility and skill development
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on production needs
Qualifications & Experience Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and purchase orders
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and order accuracy
  • Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time
  • Ability to use basic math and measuring devices to calculate dimensions
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds consistently and safely
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment &

Physical Requirements
  • Manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts
  • Moderate noise levels; hearing protection may be required
  • Frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and mechanical equipment
  • Required use of safety glasses and other PPE in designated areas
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Regular lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of materials up to 80 pounds
  • Requires manual dexterity, multi‑limb coordination, and physical stamina
  • Climate‑controlled indoor work environment
Schedule
  • Full‑time position
  • Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Evening hours may be required based on production demands
  • Travel is not expected for this role
