, you’ll provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate our seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. You’ll serve as the front-line manager to develop tax office associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives. We’ll help you advance your knowledge and skills as you serve as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to a customer-centric team of tax office associates and manage a single tax office to accelerate seasonal tax growth.
  • Lead daily activities to ensure that tax office work is completed on time, with quality standards and aligned with priorities and goals.
  • Build an engaging team environment by training and coaching associates to meet Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions.
  • Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
  • Create associate work schedules, ensure accurate timekeeping, and manage overtime.
  • Prepare tax returns as required and serve as a resource on tax topics and products for associates.
  • Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, including local partnerships and community involvement.
  • Assist the District General Manager in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office roles.
  • Serve as the point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns and resolve client scheduling conflicts.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and collaborate with relevant HR resources to address performance issues.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in customer service, shift leadership, or a similar role; experience supervising or managing people.
  • 2+ years as a Tax Professional (or equivalent experience).
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course* (if preparing tax returns).
  • Annual continuing education and ability to meet IRS and applicable state requirements.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible, customer-centric mindset with the ability to adapt work schedules based on business needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent or higher.

Pay Range

$15.00 - $65.00/Hr (local minimum wage laws apply; final pay decisions based on experience, education, skill, performance, and location).
