- Maintain patient records and recall system records to ensure information is complete and accurate.
- Provide clerical, administrative and clinical support duties for dental patients so that patients receive optimal care.
- Coordinate and manage dental schedules for patient appointments to serve patients efficiently.
- Review patient account billing information prior to submittance to finance department to ensure reimbursement is efficient.
- Customer Service skills to interact with others, provide information for internal and external contacts, including phone calls and walk‑in contacts in a courteous and helpful manner.
- Database, Documents & Records Management skills to establish and maintain complex database systems and records as assigned.
- Typing/Keyboarding skills to complete a variety of reports, letters, and data summaries.
- Dental experience background, dental terminology, medical terminology and electronic medical records.
- Ability to interact with superiors, employees, and the public to gain their support and establish positive working relationships.
- Following data privacy/confidentiality guidelines such as state statutes and regulations regarding data privacy, security, and HIPAA.
- Experience working effectively with individuals from different backgrounds and cultures.
