Detroit Lakes, MN — Psychiatry

Join the Detroit Lakes Behavioral Health Department. The department includes 2 part–time psychiatrists, 2 psychologists (1 part–time child), 2 psychotherapists, and 1 psychiatry nurse practitioner. Outpatient adult psychiatry services (age 18+) with potential to see under 18 if desired. No call, no weekends. Telemedicine may be used in the future for outpatient services.

• Provide adult psychiatry services (18+) in an outpatient clinic setting; option to see under age 18 if desired
• Conduction of nursing home rounds 1–2 times per month
• ED and inpatient consultations available upon limited request; local crises team supports ED patients
• Outreach opportunities at other Essentia Health clinics within daytime driving distance
• Appointment times:
  New patients 60 minutes;
  Med Checks and Rechecks 20–30 minutes
• Department does not provide after-hours call coverage to hospital or ED
• Telemedicine services may be used in the future in the outpatient setting

• 1 hour from Fargo and 3 hours from Minneapolis/St. Paul

• Regional service area consists of 4 clinics & 1 hospital

$323,000. Hired candidates may be eligible for additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based pay.
