The Chocolate M.I.N.T. Foundation Health, Nutrition, and Food Pantry Assistants
The Chocolate MINT (Mentor, Inspire, Nurture, Train) Foundation Food Pantry in DeSoto, TX welcomes Ameri Corps members in collaboration with City Square.
This spring, we invite members to serve their communities in one of these roles:
- Ameri Corps Health and Nutrition Assistant — supports JOY Senior Meals, which ensures that seniors in Dallas and Ellis County have access to healthy food and know how to prepare quality, healthy, nutritious meals.
- Ameri Corps Food Pantry Clerk — will ensure that individuals and families in Dallas and Ellis County have access to quality and healthy nutritious foods by supporting the daily operations of the food pantry and assisting client intake.

Benefits of becoming a City Square Ameri Corps Member- Members will be paid $4,500 (broken down and paid in twice monthly installments during the term- $1,237 per month)

- Some service positions may fulfill college and university internship requirements.
- Available from January 8th
- April 26, 2024 - Available 32 hours per week during business hours, Monday-Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and the 3rd Saturday of the month from 7:30 am-12:00 pm.
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Deferred action and temporary permanent resident do not qualify)
- Able to access reliable transportation
- Able to pass a criminal background check
- Previous employment or volunteer experience in a fast-paced field and/or customer service experience
- Spanish/English bilingual
