Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Passive Fire Protection
Location: Kettering (Office-based / Hybrid)

Job Overview:
We are looking for a proactive Quantity Surveyor to join our Passive Fire Protection team in Kettering. The role involves commercial management of passive fire protection projects, including fire stopping, fire doors, and associated remedial works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably, and in line with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commercial management of multiple passive fire protection projects

• Preparation and submission of valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts

• Cost control, forecasting, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle

• Management of variations and change control

• Liaison with clients, main contractors, and internal project teams

• Support procurement of materials and subcontractors

• Ensure compliance with contract terms and industry regulations

Requirements:

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or specialist subcontracting

• Understanding of Passive Fire Protection works and relevant legislation

• Strong knowledge of contracts (JCT/NEC preferred)

• Ability to manage costs and commercial risk

• Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills

Desirable:

• Experience in Passive Fire Protection, fire stopping, or fire doors

• Professional qualification or working towards (RICS or equivalent)

• Experience working with main contractors and local authorities
