Job DescriptionAce Computers is seeking an experienced Hardware Integration Engineer with superior problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills. This role is a combination of manufacturing test support, internal/external validation & compliance testing, and development support for new computer products, including laptops, desktops, workstations, and servers. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of BIOS/UEFI firmware, PC & Server Hardware, SQL Queries, and Operating Systems (Windows/Linux) to ensure seamless system integration during the test and validation process.
Duties & Responsibilities- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure proper firmware integration.
- Collaborate with computer component manufacturers (e.g., motherboard, power supply) for optimal product firmware and settings for efficient energy usage.
- Interact with external Test Labs to ensure accurate test methodologies and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues using diagnostic tools such as Eurosoft.
- Optimize current software tools for better and more efficient test coverage
- Conduct system‑level debugging and root‑cause analysis of firmware and hardware issues.
- Validate firmware functionality through rigorous testing and documentation.
- Assist Senior Engineers in the development and testing of newer technologies.
- Experience with Intel/AMD platforms and chipset initialization.
- Knowledge of ACPI, SMBIOS, PCIe, and other firmware standards.
- Familiarity with secure boot, TPM, and firmware security best practices.
- Good understanding of computer hardware and architecture, including operating systems, firmware, and drivers, etc.
- Familiarity with Energy Star Testing and experience in Product Validation Testing Labs
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Hardware/Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent & 2+ years of hands‑on experience in PC and Server assembly and deployment
OR
- Associate’s degree in a similar field & 5+ years of experience in PC and Server assembly and deployment
- Strong understanding of computer architecture, hardware interfaces, and boot processes.
- Excellent debugging and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written skills with the ability to communicate highly technical issues/results in simple terms.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues of varying skill sets.
