Experience: 3–5 Years
Digital Acoustics is seeking a talented Mid-Level Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team in Chicago. This isn’t your typical web development role—you will be at the intersection of high-performance software and the science of sound.
In this position, you will build and maintain full-stack applications that interface with digital acoustics hardware and audio processing engines. The ideal candidate is someone who is as comfortable optimizing a React component as they are discussing digital signal processing (DSP) or acoustic modeling.
Key Responsibilities- Full Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications (Front-end & Back-end) that serve as the interface for our digital acoustics platforms.
- Audio Integration: Implement and optimize audio processing features, including real-time audio visualization, playback controls, and acoustic data reporting.
- System Architecture: Collaborate with our acoustics engineers to bridge the gap between low-level audio algorithms and high-level user interfaces.
- API Management: Build and consume RESTful or Graph
QL APIs to handle complex device communication and data flow. - Performance Optimization: Ensure low-latency performance for data-heavy applications involving audio streams and acoustic simulations.
- Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of Digital Acoustics or Audio Engineering (e.g., sample rates, bit depth, frequency response, or FFT).
- Data Management: Strong experience with relational databases (Postgre
SQL, MySQL) and handling time-series data. - Hybrid Ready: Ability to work from our Chicago-area office 2–3 days per week.
- Experience with Web Audio API or low-level audio libraries (C++, JUCE).
- Familiarity with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) concepts.
- Background in the Pro-Audio, Telecommunications, or Consumer Electronics industries.
- Hybrid work flexibility in the heart of Chicagoland.
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
