Overview
Regional Sales Manager based in the Chicago area to lead national sales efforts across security hardware, IP speakers, intercoms, and mass notification systems. This role is ideal for a strategic, relationship‑driven sales leader who thrives in a manufacturer‑rep / distributor model, understands IP‑based audio and VoIP technologies, and is excited to help shape the next generation of AI‑integrated communications—particularly in Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) and advanced retail environments.
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid / Remote) • Travel: ~30% (Trade Shows, Manufacturer Rep Support, Distributor Calls) • Employment Type: Full‑Time
You will manage and grow an established channel while playing a key role in launching and scaling a new AI‑driven product category.
Responsibilities- Channel Leadership: Lead, mentor, and expand a national network of independent Manufacturers’ Representatives and Distribution Partners; drive accountability, territory performance, and pipeline growth across regions
- Distributor & Rep Support: Serve as the primary field liaison between the factory and channel partners; support high‑value distributor calls, product demos, and technical sales presentations; translate technical capabilities into clear customer value
- Market Expansion: Grow revenue in core markets: mass notification, intercoms, IP speakers, and security audio; spearhead new business development in AI‑enabled QSR and retail communications
- Field & Industry Presence: Represent the company at major industry events including ISC West, Info Comm, GSX, and NRS; conduct on‑site visits nationwide to support rep firms, distributors, and key end users
- Industry Experience: 5+ years of sales experience in security hardware, intercoms, mass notification, or commercial audio; strong working knowledge of SIP / VoIP / IP‑based systems
- Channel Sales Expertise: Proven success managing independent rep firms and national distribution channels; comfortable driving strategy while remaining hands‑on in the field
- The “AI Edge”: Technically curious and commercially minded—able to sell how AI‑powered communications improve speed, accuracy, and customer experience in QSR and retail environments
- Executive Presence: Confident communicator who can influence engineers, integrators, distributors, and C‑suite executives
- Dedicated Sales Administration Support to assist with quoting, order processing, and channel coordination
- Base Salary: $90,000 – $115,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Variable Compensation: Uncapped commissions + performance bonuses
- On‑Target Earnings (OTE): $140,000 – $175,000+
