Research and Development Scientist

Talascend is currently seeking a Research and Development Scientist for a contract opportunity with our client in Des Plaines, Illinois
.

The role involves conducting research and development activities, applying research theories, principles, and models, and summarizing research results to communicate findings.

• Conducts research and development activities.
• Applies research theories, principles, and models when conducting experiments and research activities.
• Responsible for summarizing research results and communicating findings to internal and external bodies.
• Leads and directs the work of others.

• Graduate degree and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Typically reports to top management.
