Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides strategic direction to support and facilitate the development and implementation of marketing plans for areas such as public relations, corporate sponsorship, creative/design, digital media, and other internal and external communication and marketing
- Provides social media engagement, strategy, and execution
- Oversees the development and execution of all areas of advertising including, but not limited to: collateral, print, and broadcast, out of home, social media, online advertising and internal and external communications
- Oversees handling of all on site and off site public relations events
- Maintains close working relationship with all Marketing departments and Directors to ensure maximum potential for annual revenue goals
- Partners with Human Resources in the implementation, management & development of communication programs/tools for property and, if requested, department-specific communication
- Oversees print and digital media presence to inform and engage current and potential guests
- Determines appropriate target markets for successful advertising and external communication efforts
- Ensures consistency and excellence in all verbal, written and visual marketing communications and advertising efforts
- Assesses revenue and profitability analysis of marketing initiatives and determine necessary changes in marketing efforts. Provide reports to Executive Leadership team, as needed
- Develops and administers departmental budget and provide strategic oversight for sub-department budget planning and accountability
- Develops and maintains operational procedures to ensure maximum timeliness of jobs and cost effectiveness
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Marketing or Public Relations and/or five (5) years supervisory or management experience in casino promotions and special events preferred
- Three years of advertising agency experience preferred
- Outstanding organization skills are a must, as is the ability to actively manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Must thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment
- Demonstrates understanding of direct mail and email production
- Strong desire to take accountability and have their performance measured on contribution to business results
- Extensive experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives
- Business intelligence, stays current and understands how what happens in the world affects us, our marketplace and our competition
- Analytical prowess which includes critical thinking skills that get to the root of the problem
- Problem resolution, be decisive and timely, act on information and adapt with changes
- Team focused, catalyst for success of the whole team
- People developer, inspire and drive employees to go beyond the expected, develop people to be their personal and professional best
