Basic Function and Responsibilities
This position primarily serves as a resource liaison who works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support prospective and current early college students along a guided path toward postsecondary college and career success, especially those disproportionately impacted by systemic barriers. This position includes conducting research as well as developing and coordinating initiatives and best practices that support college transitions concerning early college opportunities, matriculation to Oakton, and transfer partnerships with other colleges/universities.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
* Assist with early college enrollment-related matters, including but not limited to resolving emergent issues and monitoring enrollment progress for courses offered through high school district partnerships.
* Develop communication plans, materials, and initiatives to help guide early college students toward credential attainment based on dual credit/dual enrollment course options.
* Assist in maintaining accurate and pertinent information on applicable departmental web pages.
* Collect and analyze data related to early college student outcomes and other metrics to inform decision-making, improve processes, present to various audiences, and help secure funding for early college initiatives.
* Cultivate positive and effective relationships with all applicable internal departments that include the routine exchange of pertinent information to support early college student persistence and completion.
* Act as liaison between early college students and all appropriate internal departments to aid matriculation.
* Identify systemic barriers to early college student enrollment and success and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop preemptive and intervention measures.
* Recommend and implement high-impact practices, programs, or processes that reduce opportunity gaps and increase persistence and completion for early college students.
* Represent the department appropriately at on-campus and off-campus meetings/events, including visits to district partners as required.
* Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Supervision Received
Administrative supervision received from the Assistant Vice President, Student Affairs - College Transitions and the Senior Manager of Early College. Functional supervision may be received from the Transfer Partnerships Manager.

Requirements:
Qualifications
* A bachelor's degree is required in education, business administration, communication, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired as necessary.
* A minimum of two years of relevant experience in higher education within academic or student affairs is required, and additional experience or knowledge of secondary education is preferred.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google platforms is required.
* Ability to develop, design, and promote new initiatives.
* Excellent multimodal communication and task/time management skills.
* Ability to interact respectfully, professionally, and tactfully with people of different levels of education, cultural backgrounds, and life experiences.
* Experience reviewing and managing student data, including confidential and sensitive information.
Physical Demands
Light lifting up to 10 lbs. and light carrying up to 10 lbs. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending and stooping. Mobility to move from building to building on-campus and to visit off-campus entities. Work is performed in a general office environment and is sedentary in nature. Little or no exposure to adverse working conditions.

Monday - Friday 8:15 am - 5:00 pm
SALARY: $55,942
Based on the needs of the college and with Administrator approval, some positions at the college may have a hybrid schedule option available after 30 working days.
