Senior Accountant

Addison Group has partnered with a publicly traded, global manufacturing company in search of a Senior Accountant.

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll take ownership of key accounting areas, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and serve as a technical resource within the team. This role requires strong GAAP knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead preparation and review of complex journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the monthly and quarterly close process
• Analyze and interpret financial results to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
• Create accurate financial reports and statements
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure they follow accounting rules
• Handle accounting for fixed assets, costs, and intercompany transactions
• Work with other teams to gather and verify financial information
• Support audits by preparing necessary documents
• Help maintain internal controls and compliance with regulations
• Look for ways to improve accounting processes and increase efficiency
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams on accounting issues

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 3-4 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• CPA (or CPA-eligible) preferred
• Experience in public accounting and/or large corporate environments preferred
• Familiarity with large-scale ERP systems a plus

• $95,000 – $110,000 base salary range
