B. The role involves the delivery and pickup of containers to and from customer locations, aiming for incident‑free service while maintaining excellent rapport with customers.

Pay rate: $28.00–$29.00 per hour.

  • High school diploma or figurine equivalent
  • Valid CDL Class B license without air‑brake restriction
  • Current/valid driver license
  • Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards
  • Must be at least 21 years of age (insurance requirement)
  • Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate or ability to obtain a minimum 1‑year certification (DOT requirement)
  • Hands‑on experience with electronic equipment and software preferred
  • Proficiency in math sufficient to perform required duties
  • Equivalent combination of education, training or experience considered
  • Ability to attend the required 2‑week new‑hire driver training program Responsibilities
    • Drive and operate a commercial truck equipped with a lift mechanism to load and unload containers at customer sites
    • Perform and log daily dy‑ and post‑trip inspections of vehicle and lift
    • Accept add‑on deliveries as required to meet business needs
    • Use company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation
    • Operate a forklift and/or an overhead crane as needed
    • Clean and inspect containers to ensure they are presentable for delivery to customers
    • Coordinate rental paperwork and payment with customers
    • Communicate with the Driver Lead or Market Manager on customer questions/issues; prepare driver notes as needed
    • Perform repairs of containers and lifts in the field and at the storage center
    • Provide backup for storage center functions when needed
    • Maintain cleanliness of truck cab (free of debris inside and outside)
