Forklift Operator
As a Warehouse Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely receipt of all materials. You will adhere to FIFO and potential freight claim procedures while supporting all freight and safety policies. Your responsibilities will include receiving and unloading inbound material, processing inbound shipments, stocking material, handling customer returns, and notifying management of any damaged shipments.
Additional duties include pulling and assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy and completeness, conducting inventory stock checks, restocking and labeling vendor products, moving, storing, and replenishing materials, and performing daily cycle counts as necessary. You will also be responsible for picking, packing, and shipping materials in a manner that professionally represents the company and its suppliers while maintaining the integrity of materials through proper handling and storage.
- Receive and unload inbound materials.
- Process inbound shipments and stock materials.
- Handle customer returns and notify management of damaged shipments.
- Pull and assemble customer orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct inventory stock checks and restock vendor products.
- Move, store, and replenish materials.
- Perform daily cycle counts as required.
- Pick, pack, and ship materials, maintaining material integrity through proper handling and storage.

Skills & Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of related experience in a warehouse environment, including order picking, shipping, receiving, inventory counts, and pick/pack.
- Experience with an RF Scanner.
- Knowledge of FIFO, OSHA requirements, safety awareness, and hazardous materials shipping.
- Forklift experience on either a sit-down or stand-up model.
- Ability to learn internal database and software systems.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
This is a Contract position based out of Des Moines, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.00/hr.
