Job Title: Night Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Des Moines, IA

We are a local, family‑owned food and produce distributor that has proudly served the Midwest region for over 130 years. This hands‑on, working supervisor position starts at 6 PM and runs until the work is complete. The role reports to the Night Warehouse Manager and supervises a group of warehouse employees, assigning tasks to ensure work is completed and resources are used properly.

The supervisor also assists in shipping/receiving, loading/unloading trucks, and checking in merchandise. The ideal candidate has previous warehouse supervisory experience, collaborates effectively with the team, and leads by example.

  5 PM until complete
• Days off:
  Friday/Saturday until trained for a 4‑day schedule

• High school diploma or GED preferred with 2–4 years of related experience
• Previous Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience required
• Previous warehouse supervisory experience preferred
• Self‑directed with the ability to read and interpret company documents, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
• Obtain licensure to operate warehouse equipment within the first 30 days

• SAFE — must safely operate warehouse equipment at all times and follow all safety guidelines
• Maintain a warehouse that is accessible and safe for company personnel and visitors
• Read pick tickets and/or requisitions to select and assemble product for customer orders
• Implement established food safety practices throughout all warehouse employees
• Stand and walk for extended periods; push/pull, lift/carry, or exert force of up to 75 lbs or more
• Reach above the shoulder, kneel, crawl, bend or stoop frequently as necessary
• Perform other job‑related duties or special projects as required
