Join a high‑impact engineering team supporting Wellmark’s Public Exchange and Medicare Advantage business. As a (Senior) Software Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping and evolving our business development technology platform—ensuring it is reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards. You will work closely with product partners, architects, and fellow engineers to design and deliver modern solutions across infrastructure, automation, data integration, environment strategy, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and platform innovation.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex problem spaces, enjoys working across on‑premise and cloud ecosystems, and brings both technical depth and collaborative leadership.

* This role will support two teams h that in mind, we are looking for someone with full‑stack engineering (MEAN) experience as well as ETL/Data Engineering experience.

• Angular, NodeJS, Typescript, SQL, Mongo
  
  DB, Jest, AWS – SQS, Lambda, ECS, EC2, Batch, Event Bridge, Cloudwatch, S3, SNS. Having AWS CDK experience.
• Expertise in ETL workflows using Informatica Power Center for building ETL workflows and data integrations.
• Hands‑on experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) for cloud‑based data integration and ETL processes.
• Proficient in ETL performance tuning, including optimizing job performance and resource usage.
• Proficiency in working with SQL Server, Amazon Redshift, and Teradata for data warehousing, integration, and reporting.
• Expertise in database performance tuning, including query optimization and indexing strategies.
• Strong understanding of data modeling techniques: normalization, denormalization, and designing star and snowflake schemas.
• Understanding and implementation of data governance best practices and ensuring data quality throughout the ETL process.
• Proficiency in data profiling and data validation to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Experience working within an Agile team environment.
• Experience partnering with global staffing vendors to deliver on commitments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field of study and at least 1 year of software development experience (ex. Angular, NodeJS, Type Script, C++, .NET, Java, SQL) OR 5+ years of related and applicable experience.
• Strong analytical problem‑solving skills. Accuracy and high attention to detail. Previous experience troubleshooting and developing creative technical solutions.
• Strong ability to gather information, perform necessary research needed for root cause analysis, problem definition and formulation, recommend solution implementation, verification, and ongoing optimization, using data to support recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties. Ability to communicate key information in a timely manner to the appropriate stakeholder audience with the ability to adjust communication style that will best suit the audience.
