Diesel Service Technician (Des Moines, Iowa)
Vander Haag’s has a great opportunity for an experiencedDiesel Service Technicians (Diesel Mechanic) to join our team inDes Moines, Iowa.
ASE Certification is preferred, but not required. Vander Haag’s offers:
- Hourly base pay that reflects your experience in the industry.
- Efficiency bonus (paid monthly) in addition to your hourly rate

- Work in a clean, well-lit shop complete with overhead hoists and shop equipment.
- All types of medium and heavy duty truck repair
- Engine diagnostics and overhauls
- Drivetrain
- Electrical
- DOT inspections
- PM maintenance
- Hydraulic systems
- Fabrication
No evenings, weekends, or holidays required!
Compensation: This position pays an hourly base compensation + overtime. Hourly rate will range from $25.00 - $40.00 /hour. Hourly rate is dependent upon experience and qualifications (e.g., ASE Certifications, etc.).
Tools: Vander Haag’s offers flexible arrangements to assist you with the purchase of additional tools (if necessary). We also sell Milwaukee power tools right at our store locations!
