The Des Moines Menace is looking for a highly motivated individual interested in being a part of the United Soccer League team in Des Moines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, the ability to multitask, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude. This is a paid, part‑time spring and summer position.

Responsibilities
  • Sell premium and group tickets to the greater Des Moines area including individuals, families, and corporations.
  • Manage and build relationships to create new opportunities for group leaders and future referrals.
  • Network at local events including community, partnership, and other related opportunities.
  • Service current and prospective group leaders on matchdays.
  • Implement best practices, prospecting, lead generation, and lead management while demonstrating outbound sales efforts.
  • Create, build, and execute group theme nights and group sales business plans.
  • Represent the Des Moines Menace in a positive way on game days when interacting with clients.
  • Work regular season Menace home matches in May – August. This includes full‑day dedication to game day set up, servicing fans, and post‑game tear down. In‑game responsibilities vary on the needs of the match but will include ticket sales and season memberships/information table.
  • As available, assist with pre‑season events such as Open Cup and youth programs including tournaments and camps.
  • Maintain confidentiality for sensitive club information.
  • Other projects and duties as directed by Menace Soccer Operations Manager.
Qualifications
  • A passion for sports and knowledge of the game of soccer is preferred.
  • Ability to be detail oriented, problem solve, and communicate with colleagues in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects at a time with tight deadlines.
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Proven team player who is willing to work long days, nights, and weekends.
