* JOB SUMMARY:

** The Tree Stump Grinder is responsible for operating various equipment, completing related assignments with precision and efficiency, and ensuring the proper care and use of maintenance equipment.

* ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
* Must have the ability to be proactive, plan ahead and problem solve to minimize disruption, errors, risks and to keep job on-task, within budget and on-schedule
* Maintain work vehicle to be clean, organized, and operational condition on a daily basis
* Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings
* Work flexible hours in all weather conditions to accommodate the seasonality of the industry

* JOB REQUIREMENTS:

*** Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
* Prior experience operating a stump grinder is preferred
* Must have valid First-Aid and CPR cards or be willing to obtain one
* Ability to operate and service all required tools and equipment
** KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

REQUIRED:

*** Ability to push, pull, reach, climb, kneel, lift (up to 100 lbs.) and walk for extended periods of time
* Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently
* Must be dependable, punctual and have a strong work ethic
* Must be detail-oriented and have good communication skills
* Must be adaptable in a changing work environment
* Ability to read and interpret daily work orders
* Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors
