In-Home Veterinarian – Des Moines, IA

Base pay range: $75,000.00 /yr – $90,000.00 /yr (actual pay based on skills and experience).

Experience Fulfillment at Heartstrings Pet Hospice! We are hiring an In-Home Veterinarian to provide compassionate care during end-of-life moments in pet families’ homes.

• Provide in‑home euthanasia and hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets
• Guide families through end‑of‑life decisions
• Maintain relationships with local veterinary clinics, serving as an extension of their excellent care

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• 1+ year(s) experience as a practicing veterinarian
• Valid driver’s license
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. assisted
• Physical ability to walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, stoop, stand, and reach consistently during the workday
• Comfortable with prolonged periods of driving
• Demonstrated manual dexterity, fine‑motor skills, steady hands for medical tools
