, are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our team.
We are seeking an associate veterinarian to join our two-hospital, 9 doctor team. This position will offer a competitive base salary plus production, a generous benefits package, and a sign-on bonus. We are open to both full and part‑time candidates, and all levels of experience are welcome!
About the PositionThe Associate Veterinarian is an invaluable member of the hospital team, working directly with the Managing Doctor and supporting medical staff. This individual is responsible for providing high‑quality care to our patients while also developing rapport with their owners. In addition to physical examinations, surgeries, and dentistry, client communication and education are of the utmost importance. Our veterinarians at Starch Pet Hospital and University West Pet Clinic treat each pet and client like they’re a part of the family.

Both hospitals are fully staffed with excellent technicians and support staff offering strong communication and collaboration. Our hospitals have longstanding ties in the community, providing high quality medicine and compassionate care to our patients. Both hospitals currently offer 4 exam rooms, dedicated surgery suites, spacious and well‑equipped treatment areas, a grooming area, a full in‑house lab, digital radiology, ultrasound, and an in‑house pharmacy.
Both locations will undergo renovations in 2025 that will include 4 additional exam rooms, surgical suite expansions, and a dedicated dual dental suite. Our seasoned doctors are ready to mentor and share their wealth of knowledge.

- Build rapport with clients by gathering information, listening to, and empathizing with their concerns.
- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
- Make decisions confidently and effectively.
- Communicate with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventative health care, and nutritional needs.
- Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up‑to‑date through established protocols.
- Work collaboratively with hospital team members.
- Stay current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
- Present a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university.
- Licensure in the state where the candidate will be working.
- Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
