Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Care (LTC)
Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Long-Term Care is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility. The RN ensures high-quality, resident-centered care while promoting safety, dignity, and quality of life. This role includes assessment, care planning, medication administration, supervision of nursing staff, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of residents upon admission and ongoing evaluations.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and respond appropriately.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and facility policies.
- Participate in infection control, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide emergency care as needed.
- Support residents’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being.
