Travel ER RN opportunity in Des Moines, IA — 13-week nights assignment for experienced Emergency Department nurses with current BLS/ACLS. Join a fast-paced emergency department and deliver critical care to patients when they need it most.

• Start Date: March 22, 2026
• End Date: June 20, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or a Compact multistate RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room / ED nursing experience (travel ER nurse experience preferred)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Strong critical thinking, triage, and communication skills for high-acuity patient care
• Compliance with onboarding health and competency requirements (including immunizations and background checks)

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients across the lifespan in the Emergency Department
• Assess, triage, and continuously monitor patients with acute, urgent, and emergent conditions
• Perform rapid assessment, stabilization, resuscitation, and administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe, compliant, and clean ED environment following hospital and regulatory policies
