As a Cath Lab RN, you’ll play a vital role in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, delivering direct patient care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes. This role demands strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with cardiac procedures in the Cath Lab and other procedural areas.
  • Perform as scrub tech, circulator, and hemodynamic monitor.
  • Monitor patients under conscious sedation and manage IV therapy.
  • Respond to cardiac emergencies using BLS/ACLS protocols.
  • Educate patients and families, and document care thoroughly.
  • Maintain equipment, supplies, and regulatory standards.
  • Support quality improvement and mentor new team members.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
  • Current Iowa RN license.
  • BLS, ACLS, Mandatory Reporter certification.
  • 2+ years Cath Lab or 3+ years critical care experience preferred.
  • Strong cardiac care knowledge, including EKG interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills.
