- Location: Des Moines, IA 50314 (Iowa nursing jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel nurse contract)
- Start Date: January 11, 2026
- End Date: April 11, 2026
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour night shifts)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,630 - $1,750
- Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state (required for travel nursing jobs)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele) nursing
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Provide high-quality patient care in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
- Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac telemetry for acute care patients
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing procedures as prescribed
- Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and patient-centered environment
