Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary:
The Labor & Delivery RN provides safe, evidence-based nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal maternal and fetal outcomes while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

• Monitor maternal and fetal status during labor and delivery
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care
• Communicate effectively with providers and support staff
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation

• Graduate of an accredited RN program (BSN preferred)
• Active RN license in the State of Iowa
• AHA BLS required; ACLS required
• NRP preferred or ability to obtain
• Acute care or Labor & Delivery experience preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week

• Paid time off

• Labor and Delivery Nurse: 1 year (Preferred)

• NRP Certification (Preferred)
• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• RN License (Preferred)
• ACLS Certification (Preferred)
