Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 1.5 years of recent L&D experience and an active IA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities

• Position is in a 45-bed Labor & Delivery unit with 2 operating rooms

• Care for high-risk OB, antepartum, c-sections, and vaginal deliveries

• Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:1-2

• Utilizes magnesium, insulin, and pitocin drips

• May float to Mother/Baby or Postpartum units as needed

• Uses Epic electronic medical record system

• Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's)

• Only 1 day off may be requested during specified holiday blackout periods

• First-time travelers will not be considered

• Candidates should expect to collaborate with a multidisciplinary OB team
Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license required

• Minimum 1.5 years of current hospital L&D experience necessary

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required

• Prior travel contract experience required

• Ability to provide a recent work history and skills checklist

• Epic charting experience preferred
