RN Telemetry

Amergis is currently seeking experienced Med SurgRNs for TRAVEL assignments in Des Moines, IA !

Position Details:

Contract Length: 13 wks

Number of Openings: 2

Hours/Shifts/Schedules:
Nights, Nights; 4x12s - may be required to float to IMMC, ILH & MWH - No Call - Every 3rd weekend including holiday rotation

Requirements

• Med Surg experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
• Neuro/neurology care experience required

• Orthopedic care experience required
• EPIC emr/electronic medical experience required
• Trauma care experience preferred
• No 1st time travelers, must have completed at least one travel assignment in previous 12 months
• Drip
  
  Experience:
  
  Heparin PCA 3 Sodium/Na required
• Specialty Equipment: telemetry left equipment chest tubes airvo highly preferred
• EKG / Strip reading amp measuring / telemetry experience required
• Iowa/IA license or compact/Multistate license
• Active American Heart Association or ARC/AMERICAN RED CROSS ACLS required

• BLS required
• NIHSS preferred

As a professional practitioner, the RN - Telemetry assumes the responsibility and accountability for delivery of patient care of telemetry patients. The RN - Telemetry demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner, with supervision. The RN - Telemetry exhibits critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care, and consistently performs according to nursing standards while remaining accountable for providing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license for the state in which thenurse practices
• One year experience in Telemetry Preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
