Position Summary

The Commercialization Manager leads product introductions from concept approval through first successful production run and into steady‑state manufacturing. This role owns the timeline, production coordination, risk mitigation, and execution of customer launches.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize strong project management skills to lead the onboarding process and ensure a seamless client experience from concept approval through launch.
  • Lead end‑to‑end commercialization of new and reformulated SKUs through first production run and post‑launch stabilization.
  • Develop and manage detailed project timelines with clear milestones, risk mitigation plans, and defined accountability.
  • Coordinate formula validation, ingredient sourcing, packaging procurement, and production readiness; create and maintain accurate production packets.
  • Align commercialization timelines with Scheduling, Supply Chain, and Procurement to ensure on‑time material availability and production capacity.
  • Support and oversee line trials, first production runs, and transition into steady‑state manufacturing while serving as the central point of accountability for launch execution.
  • Ensure all regulatory, QA, and food safety requirements are met prior to launch.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration and lead project meetings with Operations, QA, Supply Chain, Procurement, Scheduling, and Sales; communicate project status, risks, and escalation items to leadership and sales.
  • Meet all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements and participate in food safety meetings as required.
  • Cultivate and promote a strong safety culture by following all safety policies, procedures, and regulations; identify and communicate workplace hazards and take corrective action as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business management, or a related field preferred; or 3–7+ years of experience in beverage or food manufacturing, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Well‑organized and skilled in time management, prioritization, scheduling, and meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of production processes and plant operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple timelines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Familiarity with FDA, HACCP, SQF, and GMP standards.
  • ERP/MRP system experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication (written/verbal) and problem‑solving abilities.
Work Expectations
  • This is a regular, full‑time position with frequent in‑person meetings with potential, new and existing customers.
  • This position needs to have the ability to be available for work daily and extended hours as necessary.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • This position requires long periods of sitting/working at a computer, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
  • The employee should be able to lift and/or move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Travel
  • This position requires up to 5% of travel.
