Operations Manager
As the Plant Operations Director, you will lead plant operations by managing daily production activities and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. You will oversee a team of direct and indirect reports to maintain efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing processes. This position requires solving complex operational challenges and collaborating closely with Sales, Engineering, and other departments to support long-term business objectives. Effective communication and influence across all levels of leadership are essential to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage plant operations teams, including direct and indirect reports, to achieve production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Develop and execute mid-term operational plans that align with broader organizational strategies and support business growth.
- Identify and resolve complex operational problems that impact production efficiency, cost, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to ensure production capabilities meet customer demands and product specifications.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by influencing cross-functional partners and promoting best practices throughout the plant.
- Communicate operational performance and challenges to senior management, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations while fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Monitor daily production schedules and adjust resources to meet changing priorities and customer requirements.
- Conduct regular team meetings to align on goals, share updates, and address operational issues.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Support recruitment, training, and development of plant operations personnel to build a capable and motivated workforce.
- Coordinate with maintenance and engineering to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
- Prepare and present reports on operational metrics, safety incidents, and project progress to leadership.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track plant productivity and quality outcomes.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience: 7+ years of progressive plant operations or manufacturing management experience within mid- to large size manufacturing organization;
Experience with complex production/manufacturing environment. - Functional

Understanding of blueprints and schematics;
Excellent understanding of costing/pricing strategy and scrap reduction;
Strong understanding of engineering/detailed and complex, made-to-order products;
Previous Continuous Improvement/Lean experience. - Technology Aptitude/
Skills:
Excellent Microsoft Office Skillset;
Previous experience with ERP systems with experience in Oracle preferred;
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel and Power BI - Language
