Overview
General Manager - DSM. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with Allegiant Air and regulatory agency policies in the day-to-day operation of the station. It also leads the base management team for Flight Ops, Inflight, and Maintenance to ensure On-Time Performance, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements- Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.

Experience:
Minimum of eight years of airline operations experience, including five years of management experience preferred. Minimum of three years managing cross-functional operations preferred. - Demonstrated experience in leading managers. Ability to assess emergency situations in a timely manner, exercise good judgment, flexibility, and respond calmly and effectively. Must reside within 60 minutes of assigned airport location.
- Ability to work in a sometimes stressful environment. Highly organized with multi-tasking abilities. Team-oriented, with a positive attitude.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. Strong planning and organizational skills. Excellent customer service focus. Must be at least 24 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
- Able to attend required training. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software. Must obtain GSC certification. Travel minimum twice yearly as needed to address operational concerns with cities the base flies to.
- Provision of personal information to the state may be required as part of liquor license requirements for the company.
- Establish and maintain safety compliance of aircraft, customers, facilities and employee working environments. Address issues and provide corrective action as required.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal directives and security requirements. Audit to ensure quality assurance.
- Coordinate rooming and parking needs for Flight Operations, In-flight, and Maintenance personnel during the portion of the year when the station operates as a Base.
- Lead the base management team to promote On-Time Performance, teamwork, collaboration, and continuous process improvement.
- Evaluate the performance of the base management team and provide feedback to direct supervisors. Analyze performance against critical measures and implement solutions to achieve objectives for the entire base.
- Ensure cost control and effective management of station expenses. Establish airport and local community relations with officials and emergency services as needed.
- Coordinate with service providers (fueling, skycap, security, catering, cleaning, ground handling) and oversee performance of local contracts.
- Ensure adherence to company manuals and current revisions. Maintain customer service and baggage handling standards. Monitor quality control and create effective work schedules, including irregular operations plans.
- Participate in interview, hiring and staffing requirements (G4 stations only). Ensure training requirements for all employees are met and corrective actions are taken for local training issues.
- Coordinate with Customer Relations to respond to customer complaints/compliments. Establish employee recognition programs and communicate airline business to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and pursue opportunities to improve station profitability and establish goals, measuring performance to ensure targets are met.
- Provide ongoing feedback to employees, support career development (G4 stations only), and develop succession plans (G4 stations only).
- Lead investigations for safety, security, or OJIs (G4) related items. Model integrity, professionalism, and effective communication. Develop executive-level customer correspondence.
- Assist with Customer Service and Ground Operations as required. Ensure direct reports understand and apply the company’s Customer Commitment and customer service standards.
