- Support the talent acquisition, development, and retention of branch sales and operations associates.
- Manage the branch in the Branch Manager’s absence; assist in developing strategies to drive branch sales and profitability.
- Coordinate procurement, inventory control, shipping, receiving, warehousing, and sales in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Solve problems at the branch level; investigate customer complaints (damaged items, overcharges, shipment/delivery delays); make necessary resource adjustments.
- Manage operational branch level problems, investigate inventory discrepancies, and make adjustments as required.
- Serve customers and support the counter and inside sales functions as necessary; ensure all sales orders are billed correctly and in a timely manner; schedule staff and analyze budgets and variances.
- Generally has 5+ years of experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Operate a company vehicle or personal vehicle more than 20% of the work week; acceptable Motor Vehicle Record required.
- 5+ years of experience managing a retail or branch environment.
- Strong leadership, customer service, and inventory management skills.
- Ability to analyze budgets and variances.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Forklift experience.
- Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle.
- Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
- Spanish language proficiency.
