Basic Function:
This position involves facility maintenance duties and customer interface. Previous experience is preferred but not required. Individual must be able to perform with minimum supervision. Other duties may include equipment service and general housekeeping tasks.
- Perform all maintenance and cleaning tasks noted in the checklists and as directed by the facility manager/supervisor.
- Walk garage daily to note and correct any maintenance problems.
- Sweep and pick up around the entrances and exits, clean surface areas, and maintain cleanliness of booths, offices, and rest rooms.
- Empty all trash cans in the garage, booth, and office.
- Paint any areas of the facility as directed by the facility manager/supervisor.
- Replace burned‑out bulbs and apply oil absorbent to oil spills.
- Submit requests for repairs or maintenance.
- Check conditions of safety items such as gate arms.
- Check ticket spitters and gates daily for proper operations.
- Provide ticket and record gate counters to the Manager.
- Keep an inventory of janitorial supplies.
- Maintain a garage/lot sweep sheet.
- Operate automatic sweepers, scrubbers, outdoor equipment such as weed eaters or lawnmowers.
- Shovel, plow, or blow snow from entrance or exit ramps as directed.
- Report any company policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
- Practice the Three Keys to Customer Satisfaction and the Five Customer Service Behaviors.
- Assist customers within the facility or as directed by the Facility Manager/Supervisor.
- Resolve customer complaints independently or with supervisor aid.
- Be familiar with all operation aspects and cover duties such as cashier or attendant as needed.
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance and arrive in complete uniform before and during scheduled shifts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent combination of experience and education. May require facility maintenance, electrical, painting experience or skills training depending on job assignment.
License Requirement: Valid state‑issued driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record.
Availability to Work: Shift requirements may vary. Availability to work third shift and/or weekends may be required.
Other essential qualifications include:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude and strong customer service focus.
- Adaptability to changes, sound judgment, and professionalism under pressure.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret English and respond to common customer inquiries.
- Physical demands: standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, stooping, twisting, turning, and working in various weather conditions.
$22.36 per hour (+ tips). This role is eligible to earn tips in addition to the posted hourly rate.
