We are seeking an attorney to join our Energy Department with flexibility to work out of Bismarck, Fargo, Des Moines, Madison, or Minneapolis offices, focusing on oil and gas title examination. You will:

• Examine title records and determine ownership of surface, mineral, and leasehold interests in multiple tracts of land
• Research and analyze complex title issues and draft complex title opinions
• Work on oil & gas and renewable energy projects, with emphasis on oil and gas title examination
• Collaborate with a spectrum of clients including oil and gas operators, renewable energy developers, independent power producers, and utilities

• 3-8+ years of related legal experience
• Background in title examination; oil and gas transactions (lease, easement, or purchase agreement drafting); and title and survey review
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills
• Strong academic background
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Licensed to practice in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, or Wisconsin (based on location) and ability to obtain a license in North Dakota
