Business System Analyst

Job Summary
:
Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to lead complex BI and analytics initiatives. This role involves collaborating with business and IT leaders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and mentor other analysts.

Responsibilities
:

• Lead business analysis efforts for large BI projects and cross-functional initiatives.

• Facilitate workshops and gather requirements from senior stakeholders.

• Translate complex business needs into detailed functional specifications.

• Perform detailed data validation and support ETL/data model design reviews.

• Develop UAT plans, coordinate testing, and verify BI deliverables meet requirements.

• Ensure compliance with data governance and reporting standards.

• Partner with BI developers, data engineers, and project managers to ensure delivery alignment.

• Mentor junior and mid-level BSAs, providing feedback and process guidance.

• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• BACHELOR OF COMPUTER SCIENCE

• Lead business analysis efforts for large BI projects and cross-functional initiatives.

• Facilitate workshops and gather requirements from senior stakeholders.

• Translate complex business needs into detailed functional specifications.

• Perform detailed data validation and support ETL/data model design reviews.

• Develop UAT plans, coordinate testing, and verify BI deliverables meet requirements.

• Ensure compliance with data governance and reporting standards.

• Partner with BI developers, data engineers, and project managers to ensure delivery alignment.

• Mentor junior and mid-level BSAs, providing feedback and process guidance.

• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong SQL and BI tool familiarity (Tableau, Power BI).

• Understanding of data warehousing and analytics architecture.

• Experience with Agile delivery using Jira and Confluence.

• Advanced facilitation, communication, and documentation skills.

• Ability to influence and lead without formal authority.

• Deep understanding of finance or insurance business processes.

• Defect-free, intuitive, streamlined, and effective resulting processes, business practices, and systems that meet business needs.

• On-time delivery of requirements within fundamental project metrics (scope, time schedule, and costs)

• Positive feedback from project manager, sponsor, and team regarding role effectiveness and deliverables
