This will be a hybrid role based out of our Des Moines, IA office or our Columbus, OH office; current remote associates will also be considered. The team comes into the office for collaboration 2 days a week on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization. Nationwide does not participate in the StemOPT Extension program.

As a Delivery Leader you’ll be responsible for delivering value and outcomes. Delivery leaders are expected to have an end-to-end vista on delivery, manage dependencies, remove blockers, engage partners, manage financials, maximize vendor relationships, and enable iterative delivery of value. You will need to keep pace with software delivery and organizational change methods and tools. Delivery leaders should also understand relevant Financial and Agile/Lean/Dev Ops tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the end-to-end delivery of expected business outcomes, realization of benefits as outlined in the business case, drive incremental value, and drive incremental planning and dependency scope definition.
  • Apply secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Communicate critical issues, visibility, and change management guidance to deliver business outcomes.
  • Contribute to contract negotiations, statement of work development and vendor oversight toward expected goals.
  • Prioritize deliverables, handle moderate to complex issues/risks, and govern dependencies.
  • Deliver status/health reports to track value delivery (e.g., KPIs), optimize the flow of value, and ensure demand/capacity is handled.
  • Work with medium to large project/product financials.
  • Serve as a professional guide to others around delivering business outcomes, benefit realization, agile delivery, and Lean.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships

Reports to Delivery Leader or Business Solution Area Executive.

Typical Skills and Experiences

Education: Undergraduate studies (bachelor’s degree preferred) in management information systems, engineering, math, computer science, data analytics or comparable experience and education strongly preferred.

License/Certification/Designation: Technology certifications or PMI, SAFE, Agile or Lean designations are encouraged.

Experience: Six or more years of experience in technology or related field. Three years demonstrated proficiency in delivering outcomes/projects. Awareness of emerging technologies and/or industry trends.
