The Director - Business Data and Insights sets the strategic vision for how Versova leverages data to drive operational performance, financial clarity, and enterprise-wide decision‑making. This role leads the development of the company’s data architecture, governance framework, analytics capabilities, and reporting standards. By aligning operations, finance, IT, and executive leadership around trusted, accessible, and actionable data, the Director ensures the organization can measure success, identify opportunities, and respond quickly to changing business needs.

This leader also develops and mentors a high‑performing data team while guiding the evolution of Versova’s modern data platform, integrations, and information delivery.

• Develop, build and lead the Business Data & Insights team.
• Build and execute the enterprise data architecture and integration roadmap.
• Lead the design, documentation, and maintenance of data warehouses, pipelines, and core data models.
• Oversee data governance, master data standards, and access controls.
• Partner with functional leaders to define data KPIs aligned with EOS Scorecard metrics.
• Foster collaboration across departments to transform operational data into insights.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Business Data & Insights team to execute on Rocks and projects.
• Manage vendor relationships for data platforms, reporting tools, and integrations.
• Support automation and reporting initiatives to reduce manual data handling.
• Ensure compliance with Versova’s IT security policies and data privacy standards.
• Work directly with the Versova Intelligence Division to deliver functional AI capabilities for the business.

• Bachelor’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or related technical field.
• 10+ years’ experience managing enterprise data and analytics functions.
• Demonstrated experience with data architecture and business intelligence platforms.
• Working knowledge of cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Snowflake).
• Proven ability to manage cross‑functional projects through delivery.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

• Experience supporting data and analytics functions in agricultural, food production, manufacturing, or other high‑volume operational environments.
• Master’s degree or higher in related technical field.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP and operational systems (e.g., Aeros Live, financial ERP platforms), including understanding of cross‑system data flows.
• Advanced technical knowledge of Power BI, SQL, analytics automation frameworks, or related BI platforms.
• Demonstrated experience governing cloud data warehouse ecosystems (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse) and scalable data architectures.
• Familiarity with modern data engineering practices (ELT, orchestration tools, CI/CD, API integrations).
• Proven ability to define and drive KPI frameworks, scorecard reporting, and performance measurement programs.
• Experience leading vendor evaluations, platform selections, and long‑term data strategy planning.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical and analytical concepts to non‑technical audiences, including senior leadership.
• Background working with distributed teams and multi‑site operational data inputs.

This role is primarily office‑based (Hybrid) with travel to company locations for on‑site data support. The position involves a mix of hands‑on maintenance, user support, cross‑functional communication, and participation in company projects. The Director of Business Data and Insights must be comfortable working in both office, operations, and server room environments and may occasionally be required to respond to technical issues outside normal business hours.
