Housekeeping Part-time Weekend or Weekend - Gardens Assisted Living

Position: Housekeeping Part-time Every Weekend or Every Other Weekend - Gardens Assisted Living
Luther Park Community has a part-time (weekend or every other weekend) housekeeping position open at the Gardens Assisted Living facility. We are looking for a self starter that works well aspart of a team but is also responsible for their own work. Our Housekeeping crew works independently with each housekeeper having their own assignments but also working as a teamto help each other complete all daily tasks in a timely manner.

We are looking for either one individual to work every weekend or two individuals to work every other weekend. This position has flexible hours to be discussed at time of hire.

Job Summary:

Carry out all cleaningduties as directed by the Environmental Services Supervisor.

Ensure all daily anddeep cleaning duties are adhered to.

Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.

Ensure all cleaning chemicals are correctly and safely used and stored safely in locked cart.

Adhere to correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

Be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of the residents.

Adhere to all policies and procedures that pertain to your position and department.

Ability to bend, stoop,kneel, crouch, life 40 lbs., perform overhead lifting and perform other common physicalmovements as needed. 90% of your day will be on your feet and walking.

Dust, clean and polish all fixtures, furniture, curtains, baseboards, vents, windows, fans, top of door frames, top of windows, etc.

Collect and properly dispose of trash.

Move furniture and otherheavy objects as required to clean.

Check all electrical cordson beds and lamps for bare wires and report any issues to facilities.

Assist with resident movesand prepare rooms for admissions.

Weekend Responsibilities:

Clean common areas on all three floors

Clean two dining rooms after meals

Clean all public restrooms

Collect and properly dispose of trash

Ensure all cleaning chemicals are correctly and safely used and stored safely in locked cart

Deep clean public areas when necessary

Requirements:

1 year or more experience in housekeeping; preferred but not mandatory

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Must be able to read, write,speak and understand the English language

Must possess good verbal communication skills

Must follow written andverbal direction from supervisor

Must attend all scheduled in-service meetings and/or complete all online classes in a timely manner

Ability to work alone aswell as part of a team
