Overview
We are seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor/Therapist to provide in-person services for clients aged children and up.
Responsibilities- Conduct psychosocial assessments to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and challenges related to diagnoses and treatment.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans using clinical social work interventions, including crisis, individual, marital, or family therapy.
- Offer crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
- Participate in team conferences, collaborate with other professionals, and develop tailored therapy programs.
- Maintain detailed case records, document interactions, and ensure confidentiality.
- Educate patients and families about adaptation to diagnoses and treatments, and liaise with community resources.
- Provide consultative support to healthcare team members within scope of practice.
- Maintain knowledge of community resources and ensure documentation complies with standards.
Some travel may be required.
QualificationsQualifications include a Master’s degree in Behavioral Science or related field and licensure such as LMHC, TLMHC, LMSW, or LISW in Iowa.
