Employment Type: Full time (36 hours/week)
Shift: Multiple shifts available (Days, Mids, & Nights)
Location: Des Moines, Iowa
What You’ll Do- Deliver expert emergency nursing care using the full nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Support patients and families with empathy, education, and clear communication.
- Respond swiftly and calmly to emergent and critical situations.
- Triage patients efficiently and accurately.
- Document care thoroughly and thoughtfully.
- Serve as a mentor and preceptor for new team members and students.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless, patient‑centered care.
RN License: Current or compact state license (Iowa).
Experience: One year of RN experience preferred. New graduates welcome if you’ve completed a senior preceptorship in our ED or have relevant emergency/EMS experience.
Certifications- Mandatory Reporter training (within 3 months of hire)
- BLS (within 6 weeks)
- ACLS (within 6 months)
- TNCC (within 1 year)
- PALS (within 3 months)
As an Emergency Department RN, you’ll be at the heart of providing compassionate, high‑quality nursing to patients of all ages—from newborns to seniors. You’ll work alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and play a vital role in patient advocacy, education, and care coordination.
