We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist Supervisor who meets the professional standards set by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners. This role is vital in ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate pharmaceutical care. The supervisor functions as a Pharmacist as defined by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners, assists the Pharmacy Manager in the coordination of all aspects of medication distribution and pharmaceutical care, performs human resources functions such as hiring, training, corrective action, evaluations and staff development at the supervisor level, and fosters a positive work culture through relationship building.

The Pharmacy Supervisor manages the Pharmacist staff and, along with the Technician Supervisor, handles daily and ongoing activities within the department. The Supervisor is expected to understand and support the mission and vision of UnityPoint Health, carry out the philosophy and objectives established by the Board of Directors and Management Team, solve practical and strategic problems, resolve conflicts, and lead change constructively.

• Must be a Registered Pharmacist with a current license to practice pharmacy in the State of Iowa.
• Minimum of five years of relevant pharmacy experience.
• Experience in a management or other leadership role is desirable.
• Ability to understand written, visual, and other sensory stimuli.
• Ability to cope effectively with stressful situations and time constraints.
• Ability to interpret scientific data logically and coherently.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
