Compliance Specialist, Finance & Banking

We are seeking a full-time Compliance Specialist to join our team! This individual will play a crucial role in supporting credit union adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Salary Range: $63,000-$79,000. Commensurate with experience.

NOTE:
Seeking candidates living in the state of Iowa.

• Respond to and investigate inquiries received through ViClarity's compliance hotline, ensuring timely and thorough resolution.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of inquiries.
• Remain up to date on relevant Federal banking laws, regulations, credit union internal controls, and industry best practices.
• Remain up to date on State specific banking laws, including but not limited to the following states:
  California, Utah, Nevada, Iowa, Ohio, and Massachusetts.
• Assist in the promotion of the compliance hotline and encourage use by credit union League members.

• At least 1 year of working experience within a credit union or financial institution (i.e., teller, personal banker, member service representative, loan reviewer, auditor, etc.)
• Experience with compliance hotlines or similar reporting mechanisms preferred.
• General knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements - expertise with NCUA regulations preferred.
• Interest in compliance and strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
