** PRIMARY
PURPOSE:
** Processes and reviews subrogation claims across all lines of business and all jurisdictions within an entry level caseload and processes payment checks received in accordance with company check processing guidelines; processes the regular monthly payment recovery files; coordinates with collection agencies; and supports the Claims Recovery Team within company standards and industry best practices.
** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Responsible for assigned inventory of subrogation files with recovery.
* Maintains a monthly diary on cadence, aligned to department service expectations and schedules; follows up to ensure timely payment.
* Processes recoveries into various claims systems to ensure the recovery dollars are applied to appropriate claims file.
* Works with collections agencies when appropriate to collect from at-fault parties and records details in claims file.
* Uses technology and resources, as needed, to complete investigation.
* Responds to clients' questions timely and professionally.
* Approves and/or pays bills as appropriate.
* Prepares various type status reports for clients.

*** Performs other duties as assigned.
** QUALIFICATIONS
* *** Education & Licensing
** High school diploma or GED required.
** Experience
* * Two (2) years of general office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Claims industry experience preferred.
** Skills & Knowledge
*** Excellent oral and written communication skills
* PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
* Analytical and interpretive skills
* Strong organizational skills
* Good interpersonal skills
* Ability to meet or exceed Service Expectations
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
