Portfolio Management Associate – Equity, Edge Asset Management

We’re looking for an Equity Portfolio Management Associate to join our Edge Asset Management team. In this role, you’ll provide trading, reporting, and ad-hoc support to the Portfolio Management team!

• Portfolio Management Support: Provide analytical support to Portfolio Managers by monitoring cash, entering trades and assisting with compliance monitoring.
• Operations Oversight: Act as operational liaison with Principal Asset Management operations & compliance teams to address issues and ensure operational consistency with firm practices.
• Marketing Support & Data Analysis

  Provide accurate information to for client or marketing needs.

  Act as subject matter expert for data analysis and reporting, including risk/return metrics and performance attribution.
• Provide input on projects to improve reporting systems and processes through automation and optimize operational support.

• Bachelor's degree required in finance, economics, accounting, engineering, statistics or mathematics
• Previous internship/experience in equities, preferably with two years work experience
• Advanced use of Excel

• Experience with Fact Set, Bloomberg, Charles River
• Progress towards CFA Charter
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, adapt to changes in tasks when necessary, and multi-task throughout each day
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail, including the ability to tactfully, assertively, and professionally handle difficult situations with clients and brokers

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

This role will be based out of our World Headquarters located in Des Moines, IA, supporting the Edge Asset Management team based in Seattle.

This role offers the ability for in-office or four days in-office and one day remote. You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
