Lean Engineer

The Dupps Company in Ankeny is looking for a Lean Engineer.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• Connecting the voice of the customer (VOC) to the targets to improve (TTI) and leader standard work (LSW)
• Engages in breakthrough initiatives such as transformation rhythms, shop strategy reviews, and cell control centers (CCC) and the plant control center (PCC)
• Supports the continuous improvement of key process indicators (KPI) and the sustainment of standard work process improvements – both transactional and non-transactional
• Works on complex solutions and implements new solutions utilizing both Lean and technology
• Defines processes, IT tools, trainings, systems, etc. to be used by the manufacturing community
• Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done
• Coach, mentor, and train others in all Lean Six Sigma DMAIC concepts and tools

Qualifications for this position:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited university or college
• Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in Production Process and Equipment
• Experience with Lean Transformation & Lean Tools
• Experience with Lean deployment and driving changes in production shop floor through strategic projects
• Six Sigma / Lean Green Belt or Black Belt Certification preferred
• Ability to travel between plants up to 25% of the time
