Cybersecurity, Systems Engineer
The Network Security Engineer is a critical hands-on role responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the enterprise firewall and network security infrastructure.
- Manage firewall upgrades.
- Respond to security incidents.
- Handle service tickets.
- Collaborate with various internal teams and external vendors to ensure the stability, integrity, and security of the network.
- Identify additional application security related tools, conduct tool analysis, and provide recommendations on what tools will enhance security protocols.
- Perform and conduct penetration tests and manual/automated code reviews.
- Design, develop or recommend integrated system solutions ensuring proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline or equivalent relevant experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
- 12+ years of experience as an Application Security Developer, Application Security Analyst, or equivalent.
- Proactive problem-solver.
- Deep technical expertise in Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
- Strong understanding of enterprise network environments.
- Palo Alto Networks Firewall Operations.
- Security Operations Management.
- Networking fundamentals.
- Proxy and web security.
- Incident and service management.
- VPN technology.
Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASM’s overall compensation and benefits package for employees.
$150k – $170k
