What You’ll Do
We're seeking a people-focused engineering leader to join our Workplace Benefits team. You will lead engineers within our Onboarding domain, responsible for critical customer setup and integration processes. This role offers the opportunity to shape team culture, drive technical decisions, and own domain outcomes while fostering an environment of innovation and engineering excellence. You’ll Have the Opportunity To:- Own people leadership and team development through regular feedback and coaching
- Guide technical direction and architectural decisions
- Foster a high‑performing engineering culture focused on quality and innovation
- Partner with Product to ensure solutions align with strategic goals
- Drive engineering best practices and quality standards
- Lead performance management and career development initiatives
- Make day‑to‑day prioritization and trade‑off decisions
- Champion modern engineering practices and scalable architectural patterns
- Create psychological safety and team cohesion
- Partner with business stakeholders and adjacent teams to ensure seamless end‑to‑end workflows
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree (preference in computer science, technology, engineering or math‑related field) or equivalent experience and 6+ years of relevant IT experience
- Experience leading people in a formal capacity (e.g., managing a small team, acting as a tech lead or domain lead with direct reports)
- Experience conducting 1:1s, giving feedback and supporting performance and growth
- Strong technical judgment and ability to guide technical decisions
- Comfort owning decisions and partnering with Product and peers
- Ability to operate with incomplete information and make tradeoffs
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptable and able to learn from experiences
- Actively seeks coaching and feedback for personal growth
- Track record of building team culture
- Background in system integration and API design
- Experience with AWS, Type Script, Graph
QL, or Salesforce - Strategic approach and change‑management experience
- Experience with migration from legacy implementations to cloud solutions
- Strong stakeholder management skills
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non‑sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non‑Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)$116,000 - $156,000 / year
Time Off ProgramFlexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short‑term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Work EnvironmentThis role offers in‑office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
