Bridge Engineer

Multi-state design firm is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer for their team in Des Moines
!

Responsibilities:

• Prepare high-level project design
• Review project documents and design quality for complex projects
• Provide technical guidance to team members to solve complex problems
• Perform QA/QC to ensure completed designs meet quality standards
• Conduct scope and complexity research
• Lead staff on design approach
• Develop standards and/or guidelines for engineering activities
• Mentor and train junior staff

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• Master’s degree or in pursuit preferred
• 6+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design
• Experience with bridge analysis and design programs (LARSA, LEAP Bridge, Lpile, SPColumn, or MDX)
• Expertise with DOT bridge projects
• Knowledge of Micro Station software

Salary is commensurate with experience.
